-Welcome to the Watchguard!-

Visit our forums at:
http://watchguard.invisionplus.net/

Our Mission...
Created in November of 2005, The Watchguard was designed to provide a network of fun and respectable Runescape players. The purpose of creating this group and forum was to help members meet and associate with other Runescape players without fear of being scammed, being assaulted with annoying requests, or constantly asked to do menial tasks. We are looking for fun and mature acting individuals who are just looking for other people with which to associate. We want a group of people that we can trust, so that we can do the things that require several players to accomplish. There are no requirements to join, and the ranking system that we employ is nothing more than a showing of trust. We do not base rank on combat level or any other skills.

We're not a PKing clan, we've become mainly a skills clan, where you can socialize with other members that share the same goals as you. However, we do seek out alliances to clans that offer the same ideas and concepts we do. Which means, a simple clan to have fun with others no matter their level.

We have no requirements needed to
join the Watchguard. As long as you stay semi-active on the forums and
give us the chance to get to know you, you're completely welcome. Register, Post your application; which is basically a few questions about you and Runescape- and be
sure to read the topics in our Information forum, they'll give you a
greater idea of our clan.

Combat Related Events:
  • -KBD Trips
  • -KQ Trips
  • -Mole Trips
  • -Training Sessions
  • -Dueling Tournaments
  • -Castle Wars
  • -Pest Control Trips
  • -Slaying Trips (Demons, Dragons)

Non-combat Related Events
  • -Goal Parties
  • -Rune Running (Run essence for some of your clan mates, free runes)
  • -Trawler Mini-Game Trips
  • -Hide and Seek Events with Rewards
  • -Tour de' Runescape
  • -Hide and Seek
These are events that I could name off the top of my head, look forward to many more (and better) events suggested by fellow members and staff.

Hello from one of the previous co-leaders of the clan, Halo Rambo!

When the clan was started in late 2005, I had no idea it would turn into what it turned into today. We've witnessed so many changes in the game of Runescape that it barely looks like the game it was when I first started, as I'm sure many of you could agree with. With that being said, the one thing for me that always remained strong was 'The Watchguard.' When the clan was first started, it was started for the lone purpose of finding fun and respectable players to play this great game with; It's done just that for me, and I know it'll do the same for you. Some of those I've met are still in the clan today, like Devildog and Augumon, and some have moved onto different things, whether that being in- or out- of game.

Though I don't play anymore, I truly do savour my time that I spent as a co-leader of the Watchguard. It was the greatest experience of playing Runescape, and the game would have never been as fun if I had went without it. I hope you'll consider visiting our forums and seeing what we have to offer. I promise you that your Runescape experience will never be the same! :)

as being a member of the watchguard for about a year now we have had some great times together in this clan. An event comming up held by us was the tour de runescape held in hounor of the tour de france.
anyways some events we have held in the past are ice slayings (ice giant/warrior slayings), bi weekly kbd trips, kq trips, house partys at no notice :P , mole trips, burthope games room partys, drop partys etc
but another great part is the fun we have in the forums. as long as you keep it pg 13 we dont care if you post a funny vid. Ask us for help on goals in rs and we will be there to help
thats what this clan is all about
we might not pk together but we still find ways to have fun
and having 10 people online to talk to is always nice too. You might see over 100 members on our forums but truly we have 20-30 very active people, perhaps you will add to this number. and if you take a long leave of absence just post when your back and we add you back into our hearts. (ya i know its corny >.< )

This clan has really made my Runescape experience a lot better. We are a community more or less, of friends and clan members that interact in a fun enjoyable enviroment. We don't discriminate because of level or those types of things that have to do with Runescape. The only thing that we ask of you when you are in The Watchguard is that you have a good time and be respectful to your other clan members. My time playing Runescape would not even be half as fun if it weren't for being part of the Watchguard. Even though we are few, we are strong, and I pledge your Runescape experience will be many times enhanced while in The Watchguard. :)

As shown, we're all quite mature about things, and many of our long-term members are more then glad to help you with anything (As long as they're not busy themselves). We have a well built community already started that is looking for more "citizens" :)
Oh, and gratz on 99 Fletching, Snake.

Yes, we are considered a "mature" clan. But we can get extremely silly at times. :)
And I have to say, this clan will improve your clan experience! Try new WatchGuard!
[/cornyad]
Seriously though, We are still doing well after a period of hiatus from the stability of the clan. We are currently re-building the clan. Were looking for members! It's not like staring at words will make you a member of an organization; it requires your entry!

I joined the watchguard awhile back, not expecting to stay long and have fun, I was just giving clans a shot, but then I found myself going to as many events as i could. Then however, something happened that i dont remember and I stopped showing up at the forums. When I came back a few days ago, they welcomed me as if I had always been there. That goes to show that when you join Watchguard, your always a part of the "family", no matter what.

The Watchguard holds the annual Tour De Runescape. It takes place around the Tour De France so... Come by, and get to know the guys before you race. If you do race, it should be a rather rewarding experience.
