Follow VGC, Xbox Series X and S sold 100,000 units in Japan, indicating that this pace could surpass Xbox One’s lifetime sales in just one year.

Xbox Series X and S sold well in Japan

According to Famitsu’s latest sales data, Xbox Series S sold 2,920 units and Xbox Series X sold 527 units in the week ending October 10, bringing the total sales of both product lines to 102,591 (64,284 units). for Series X and 38,307 for Series S). Meanwhile, Microsoft’s previous Xbox One took 220 weeks to reach the 100,000 sales milestone in November 2018, according to data collated by Game Data Library.

However, the Series X/S numbers are still low compared to other platforms in the market, and the PlayStation 5 has taken the lead with around 1.2 million units sold.

Microsoft has made innovation efforts in Japan with the launch of its new console, and they intend to better satisfy the Japanese players of this generation of consoles.
