According to Engadget, the next game in the series Grid, and the first game since EA acquired developer Codemasters earlier this year, has a release date. Grid Legends will launch on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC consoles on February 25 next year.
Grid Legends will be released in February next year
Codemasters announced the game at EA Play Live in July. Grid Legends features a story mode inspired by Formula 1: Drive to Survive by Netflix. It features live-action performances shot using the same virtualization setup technology as The Mandalorian.
You’ll be able to drive over 100 cars from the start and compete in over 250 events in Career mode. Drift and Elimination mode returns and players can create their own races, and there is a new mode called Electric Boost coming. The game supports cross-platform multiplayer, and Codemasters says you’ll be able to race online with just 3 button presses to start a race in no time.
Grid Legends along with a bunch of big games coming out in February next year. Released on the same day as Elden Ring and after names like Dying Light 2, Horizon: Forbidden West, Destiny 2: The Witch Queen and Sifu. In spite of Grid Legends won’t have to compete with any major racing games in February, but another heavyweight coming out a week later is Gran Turismo 7.
