In a short time, IG broke up with 6 players, including veteran names like TheShy, neny, Rookie… With the departure of 6 members, Invictus Gaming disbanded and may leave the LPL.

Top laner TheShy is currently being watched by many parties, but it seems that he and IG are still contracted. However, the signing of a new deal between TheShy and the team was not final, so he himself posted a notice to terminate his contract with IG. Kang Seungrok (TheShy’s real name) announced he is now a free agent.

Mid laner Rookie also made a similar move when he announced on his personal page the termination of his contract with the host club and it seems that the two sides are not happy with each other. Chinese eSports experts revealed that Rookie only received a contract worth one third of what it was before.
The declining business of “Phu Nhi Dai” Vuong Tu Thong – who owns IG is said to be the main reason. The boss’s loss-making business caused IG to fall into a financial crisis. IG may even be planning to sell their slots in the LPL.
Invictus Gaming is one of the traditional LoL teams in China. The team won the 2018 World Championship and this is also the highest position they have ever achieved.
