The problem started being reported on the forums of MacRumors, where the user says there seems to be no reason why the card works or doesn’t work. A forum member named wilberforce noted that issues related to brand, size, type, format or age could not be found. This person also said he can access 100% of the SD card with a third-party external card reader.

Another user said it can take up to a minute for the device to successfully link the SD card.
Also according to the December 6 report, although no underlying reason for the problems was found, many cases occur with older SD cards, and capacities below 128 GB seem to cause particular problems. .
