Genshin Impact was released globally from the end of September 2020 and experienced a peaceful and joyful year for the publisher. The game is available on multiple platforms, continuously bringing in impressive revenue milestones and various records. At one point in a month, Mihoyo earned more than $ 340 million from this game and at the 1-year-old milestone, Genshin Impact brought in more than $ 2 billion for the developer.
That impressive achievement was followed and recognized when the game became the best mobile game in 2021 voted by The Game Awards. Genshin Impact experienced a year of intense competition with many “remarkable” opponents such as League of Legends: Wild Rift, Pokemon United, Marvel Future Revolution or Fantasian.
This is also one of the most popular games in the world today, even early 2021 is confirmed to be the most shared game on Twitter – the world’s 2nd largest social network.
To celebrate this achievement, Mihoyo recently announced to give away 1600 primeval stones to gamers when logging into the game for a limited time. This is considered a necessary step of gratitude and “progressive, receptive” from NPH after players reacted violently on their 1-year-old birthday for being stingy with gifts.
Although not winning, Wild Rift (mobile version of League of Legends) is also recognized and appreciated for its popularity and success.
