PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) was released 4 years ago, released on the steam platform and is considered the “opening shot” for the success of the battle royale survival game genre today.

At TGA 2021, PUBG Studios announced that it will be free to play the game priced at 340,000 VND (about 14.99 USD) on Steam from January 12, 2022. Along with the free version, NPH will provide a Plus version of the game ($12.99). In the free version, players can still experience most of PUBG’s features.
With the Plus version, players will be able to participate in more content, including the qualifying mode. Gamers who have paid for PUBG in the past will be automatically upgraded to the Plus version.

However, this still makes a part of gamers feel unsatisfied, asking NPH for a refund for buying the game. The release of the free version also raises concerns about the types of cheat software that will interfere with the game more strongly, which has happened with games with 2 versions.
PUBG was available on Mobile and quickly became a hot game, still on the top of sales even after many years of release. The mobile version of the game is free on Android and iOS.
