According to VCG, the cult cartoon of the 90s, The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, which is about to be released on Blu-ray Disc. Discotek Media announced on Twitter that they will release the entire series with all 65 episodes in February 2022 in North America.

Since the original program is in a standard format (SD), the new release will be referred to by Discotek as a ‘SD on BD’ release. This means that even though the movie is played on Blu-ray disc, the episodes will be in standard 480p resolution. Therefore, all the episodes need only be stored on 2 Blu-ray discs, with the first disc containing episodes 1 to 50 and the other containing episodes 51 to 65.

Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog produced by DiC Entertainment and Sega of the United States and screened from 1993 to 1996. Featuring Jaleel White as Sonic and Christopher Welch as Tails. White will reprise his role as Sonic in the next animated series Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic Underground.
The classic series follows the adventures of Sonic and Tails as they defend their Mobius home from Dr. Robotnik and his Badnik wing fins (consisting of a chicken named Scratch, a mole named Grounder, and a monkey named Coconuts).
