According to Engadget, months after many of the finalist titles were announced, the Hugo Award has finally arrived. Whereby, Hades of Supergiant Games won the award in the category of Best Video Game (best game), Gizmodo reported.
Hades received the Hugo Award
Hades beat other hit games like Animal Crossing and The Last of Us: Part II. Supergiant Games’ creative director Greg Kasavin gave a speech saying he’s grateful to the organizers for recognizing his game in the gaming industry.
Hades has been around since September 2020, right before the Hugo Award revealed plans for a game category in November of that year. The game also recently came to PlayStation and Xbox in August. Overall, the game has received a warm reception from players from all platforms through its exciting gameplay.
There are currently no plans for other titles from the Hugo Award. Over the years, however, the Hugo Award has also actively expanded to consider other digital content such as podcasts and online videos.
