In its statement, Google said the company has been in talks with Disney over the past few months to secure a new contract to keep Disney channels available on YouTube TV. Even so, this agreement was ultimately not reached as desired before the current agreement expired. In addition to losing live TV channels, YouTube TV subscribers can no longer watch any recorded content from those channels.

Losing a bunch of Disney channels at this point isn’t good for YouTube TV subscribers, especially if they’re fans of TV sports. Losing access to many of the live ESPN channels along with ABC means they won’t be able to watch some end-of-season NFL games, plus many college football games, NHL games… Plus, families With young children it may be difficult to lose Disney Channel, Disney XD, and Disney Junior.

Hulu Plus Live TV is a service that offers live TV channels and add-ons.
