According to GamesRadar+, Backbone is a narrative adventure game with stunning pixel art and a bored panda protagonist, due out next year.
Developer EggNut has revealed a short teaser video for the new project, which offers a glimpse through a deserted city street in the snowy winter. The game is set in the Vancouver Dystopian, so it could certainly be the same overall setting at all times of the game.
New Backbone game coming in 2022
EggNut is also curious that they can’t reveal much information about the game’s project at the moment. And fans have no way of knowing for sure about the details until the new game launches in 2022.
The original Backbone was funded through a Kickstarter campaign in May 2018, with publishing support from Raw Fury, and it finally arrived on PC in June and with console versions later in October. Backbone was praised for its visual design and detective-focused early segments, although mixed reactions emerged in later chapters.
