Immediately after the announcement, Minas officially spoke about her retirement, no longer competing in professional eSports, but also wanted to clarify about Riot Games’ decision. In a post on his personal social networking site, Phuoc said that Riot had included the previous convictions that this player had, resulting in the highest penalty: an indefinite ban.

“In one time I was excited and the first time I knew about the bet was also the end of my playing career,” Minas shared. He also added that he himself confessed to the wrongdoing to SBTC Esports and the organization reported the incident to Riot Games.
Minas is one of the famous eSport players in Vietnam and has a good track record. He used to be the No. 1 ADC in Vietnam when he was still playing League of Legends but was banned for 1 year due to a contract violation in 2016. At the time of the current penalty, he is playing League of Legends: Wild Rift and also won impressive achievements, including the national championship.
