According to GameRant, the new console PlayStation 5 was released more than a year ago with many significant improvements from the previous generation. In addition to bringing many upgrades to the console’s hardware, Sony has introduced a new controller, the DualSense.
The DualSense controller enhances gamepads for PlayStation gamers while remaining similar to the classic DualShock design. In addition to the new black and white interface, there are also a number of new features, such as adaptive triggers that help provide a richer experience for players. But gamers never got a chance to test the full capabilities of the feature.
Recently, a new app was released to give PS5 fans more control over the settings of their DualSense controller. The app, called PS5 Controller Trigger Test, can be used to access some cool features related to adaptive triggers. Among the many options, the player can test the weapon’s vibration, response, and response. These features also dive into adjusting settings, such as Start Position and Amplitude. In addition to these features, the app’s user interface allows users to check battery life and change the light color on the controller.
The application allows to test the adaptive triggers feature of DualSense
According to the app’s creator, Rihab Mehboob, the impetus to develop the app came from the lack of games that use adaptive triggers. Furthermore, even titles that use this option cannot offer players the opportunity to customize the settings. Therefore, the developer wanted to create an application that allows players to experiment with different effects of adaptive triggers technology.
To use the app, gamers must connect a PS5 DualSense controller to their mobile device and download it for $1.99. Currently, the app is available on the App Store for iPhones and iPads running iOS and iPadOS 14.5 or later. Also, it has Mac support, but the system must have Apple’s proprietary M1 chip.
The app isn’t currently available on Android devices, but the developer says they might bring it to the platform in the future.
