According to Engadget, the KeyMander Nexus Gaming KVM is the next evolution of the hardware connectivity solution from IOGEAR for PCs and game consoles. The device specifically supports consoles such as Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, making it possible to play any game on those consoles using keyboard, mouse, monitor and headset is connected to the PC.

The KeyMander Nexus Gaming KVM is expected to launch from April to June 2022 for $200.

With the goal of streamlining gaming, the Nexus Gaming KVM brings multiple consoles into a single display and PC input system, and allows users to swap between Switch, Xbox One, and console controllers. PS4, and also supports 4K video and 60Hz refresh rate, using HDMI 2.1.

However, Nexus Gaming KVM does not fully support PS5 or DualSense controllers. Since the DualSense controller has a host of new features, like Adaptive Triggers and super-responsive touch, some games require the controller to work. This makes it difficult to translate PS5 game signals to standard keyboard and mouse inputs. Currently, IOGEAR says they are still working on improving this issue for DualSense.

There are ways to play some games with the keyboard and mouse plugged directly into the console, but the number of these titles is limited. Nexus Gaming KVM unlocks this full limitation for all games on supported systems, and also helps keep things unified with a single monitor and headset, eliminating swapping. monitors and controls are time consuming.
