Wild Rift Esports also announced the first official global tournament, the Icons Wild Rift Global Championship that will take place in Europe in the upcoming summer of 2022. Icons Wild Rift is the arena of competition at the highest level and will honor the Wild Rift world champion.
The tournament will bring together 24 teams, of which 8 teams have won the right to participate from regional tournaments and 16 teams compete in the warm-up stage. Once the warm-up round is over, the main event of the Icons Wild Rift will include the group stage and the knockout stage, with a day dedicated to the final match to find the tournament’s champion.
