Gurman’s source said that the new generation iPhone SE equipped with 5G will be the focus of Apple’s first event in 2022. Besides the first 5G iPhone SE, Apple may also introduce a number of new products at the event, including the launch of Apple Silicon-based computer models like the new Mac mini or MacBook Air.
After the spring special, Gurman said Apple’s second major launch event will be WWDC in June, where the company announces its usual operating system updates. Instead of switching back to face-to-face, however, Gurman believes it’s “almost certain” that it will just be an online event.
