According to PCGamer, this is considered a big change for this survival game, where the developer has reduced the price by 30 USD to bring the game closer to the same genre as Apex Legends and Fortnite.
PUBG: Battlegrounds is now completely free
PUBG: Battlegrounds now has a free basic version that includes most of the modes. If players want to dive into ranked or custom matches, they’ll need to spend $13 on Battlegrounds Plus. Those who previously purchased the game will automatically upgrade their account to Battlegrounds Plus along with some add-ons in a special anniversary pack.
To celebrate the re-launch, Krafton is giving out all kinds of rewards to players through Drops events. Players can watch streams, complete in-game quests, and invite friends to play to earn some extra bits and bobs for their characters. The game’s new update also introduces tactical gear and a bunch of new training modes.
Although PUBG: Battlegrounds still has a decent player base, it doesn’t attract too much attention compared to many years ago. Recently, the mobile version of PUBG: New State has reached an astounding 45 million downloads across all existing platforms and received a new update that adds new weapons and vehicles.
