According to PCGamesN, the latest information shows that users may have to invest in four-figure power supplies to run MSI’s Suprim X model, jumping from 600W in the RTX 3090 version to the recommended 1,000W PSU to operating the latest GPU.

MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Suprim X will use huge power |
This information was shared by Wxnod with a newly leaked screenshot that lists various specifications of the upcoming RTX 3090 Ti, including 24 GB of GDDR6X memory and 10,752 CUDA cores. While Nvidia’s reference model has base and boost clock speeds of 1,560 MHz and 1,860 MHz respectively, MSI’s massive graphics card boasts speeds of up to 1,900 MHz.
The high power consumption of the MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Suprim X is not surprising, but the company’s recommendation of a 1,000W PSU for this GPU may surprise many people. According to the spec sheet, MSI recommends a 1000W PSU that connects via three 8-pin connectors, 150W more than the predecessor needs. Naturally, this means that even if a user’s device is using one of the existing PSUs, they will need to switch to the appropriate PSUs to be compatible with the new GPU from MSI.
