According to PCGamers, God of War Officially available on PC. According to many positive reviews, this is the best version of a great game and it works so well that you don’t even need to use the GPU, just a little tweaking to run on the graphics card integrated AMD’s Ryzen 7 5700G. The game also earned an ‘overwhelmingly positive’ rating on over 10,000 Steam user reviews.
God of War encountered an error of lack of memory even with high configuration devices
Of course, nothing is perfect, some users have reported that the game has run out of memory errors, even on high-end devices. After reviewing the complaints, Sony found that most of the problems occurred with players using 12th Gen Intel CPUs with integrated graphics. An effective workaround is to disable the integrated graphics, but it is only a temporary solution. Now, an urgent fix is available in a beta branch on Steam and will hopefully help users fix the annoying issue.
To access, please right click on God of War in your Steam library and select Properties. Then, click on the Betas option in the left menu and change it to Experimental in the drop-down menu. If it doesn’t appear in the drop-down menu, restart Steam and try again.
Note that this urgent fix is still in beta, so there will be unknown issues from time to time. Currently, Sony is still encouraging users to update, monitor developments and report the status to the company.
Based on the comments in the discussion thread, the fix seems to be working for some players, but others are still struggling and hopefully Sony will roll out a more comprehensive fix soon. If exiting the experimental branch, repeat the process above and select None instead of Experimental.
