According to Kotaku, some Halo Infinite players feel frustrated that they have wasted XP (exp) items by activating them as soon as the game server is down. And apparently 343 Industries will not refund players used items while the game is offline.
Halo’s XP boost system is non-refundable if used during server downtime
Earlier this month, Halo Infinite players were unable to access the game for about an hour, and the problem was quickly resolved. However, at the time, some players used the item set that doubled XP before the server went down, and because of the item’s timer, it kept working even when it wasn’t. gaming, many players had to use them wastefully.
One Halo player contacted the developer regarding this issue and was informed that 343 Industries was unable to replace these wasted items, specifically, “We appreciate your patience. on this issue. While we are not able to provide or replace XP-boosting items that you lost during server downtime, we would like to inform you that access to Halo Infinite servers has now been restored. If you are still having trouble joining matches, please restart the game and try again.”
The answer from the game’s developer received an angry response from the community on Halo’s Reddit sub-page.
Previously, this sub-page was also closed because of aggressive threats from the community towards the developer. The reason is also because of the problem of the ability enhancement item in the game, many people activated the item at the start of the match and were stuck in the lobby looking for the match for a long time, while the activation time of items still count down and gradually expire, leaving the player at a disadvantage when using them incompletely. 343 Industries also only solved this problem on a trickle with some players and declared it impossible to return wasted items, leading to the displeasure of many.
